Production Plants and Joint Ventures in Europe
In early 2005, Brose started the just-in-sequence production of door systems for the Mercedes plant in Sindelfingen. The first car model, the Mercedes S-Class, was first supplied from rented premises in Herrenberg. Due to new business which required greater production capacities, the newly built facility in Weil in Schönbuch/Sindelfingen went operational in June 2006 and the entire production line was moved there.
Today, Brose Sindelfingen produces door systems for the Mercedes S-, C-, CL-, CLS- and E-Class.
The Sindelfingen plant is one of twelve JIS plants in the corporate group. Production and delivery of the Brose products is carried out in line with the vehicle production schedule. Within 320 minutes of receiving the delivery order from Mercedes-Benz in Sindelfingen, the door systems are ready to be installed at the final assembly line in the Mercedes plant eleven kilometers away.
The Sindelfingen sales office, which provides customer support for Mercedes-Benz, is also based at the location.
