Electronic Braking Systems
Electronic braking systems such as the anti-lock braking system (ABS) or the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) ensure that the vehicle also remains controllable for the driver in dangerous situations. Our electric motors ensure that these systems work reliably.

ABS motor
With an output power of 180 to 350 watts, we can implement different applications for our customers with the ABS motors. Four and six pole motors have been used to enhance the power density. More than 13 million motors produced annually testify to our competence in this product segment.
Electric parking brake
The electric parking brake is an alternative to the conventional handbrake. Apart from additional safety, it offers more comfort as it is easier to use, requires much less space and meet the central requirements which automakers today expect car components to fulfill.

Electric parking brake
Equipped with an actuator in combination with intelligent electronics, the parking brake system enables the parked car to stay safely, effective and comfortably positioned and allows effortless hill starts. The electronics connected via the on-board network with other control systems ensures intuitive, simple and error-free use of the parking brake. This intelligent technology has been in series production since 2001.
Electric power steering motors
Safe driving behavior is ensured by electric steering (EPS). The driver’s steering effort is optimally adapted to the driving situation and different speeds. Steering resistance is much less when parking the car than when driving fast on the highway.

Customized performance levels enable the electric steering to be used in all vehicle classes.
Electric seatbelt retractors
Seatbelts need to fit snugly to the body to provide optimum protection, but without restricting the car occupant’s freedom of movement. The electric seatbelt retractor, equipped with our motor, meets both of these requirements.

Seatbelt retractor motor
The electric seatbelt retractor is equipped with a fast-reacting motor ensuring that the belt is tightened in the event of an accident, providing best-possible protection for both the driver and front passenger. Even in dangerous driving situations, rapid belt tightening also provides the car occupants with enhanced safety and support. During routine driving, the belt is held firmly against the body but without exerting undue pressure.
