Customs Specialist

The main responsibility of this role is to ensure the Plant LO operates within the FTZ, comply with all legal rules, and inventory controls. Performing annual risk assessment to brokers and carriers to improve security in supply chain.
Your Job Specification
- Supervision and control of exportations and importations receipts through the principal customs. This role is responsible for customs regulations, including documentation and follow up. This role will comply with all policies and procedures of the company, i.e. health and safety, environment, equal opportunity
- C-TPAT Specialist
- Specialist in Free Trade Agreements (NAFTA, DR-CAFTA, Australia, Korea)
- Undertake special savings projects / activities as required, Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule
- Control Foreign Trade Inventory
- Elaborate customs taxes and report for CBP (Customs Border Protection), good communication with brokers, carriers and CBP
- Analyze customs cost
Your Profile
- 5 years professional experience in the area of logistics, ideally at least 3 years in a logistics coordination position in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of appropriate procedures for Inventory controls and optimizing logistics costs
