Warranty Engineer

Your Job Specification

  • Utilizing customer databases, the Warranty Engineer is responsible for pulling warranty data and compiling data into reports. This includes both time in service data as well as claim narratives where available.
  • Bench testing may be performed by the Warranty Engineer to determine disposition of returned parts. If necessary, the Warranty Engineer will coordinate additional laboratory testing, dimensional analysis or return to the manufacturing site.
  • As part of the data or parts analysis process, it may be necessary to call or visit dealerships.
  • Support corrective action activities and respond to customer portals within customer established deadlines. Monitor effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Communicate monthly Warranty SharePoint reports including customer data and return analysis results to the relevant manufacturing locations

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum three years of warranty-related experience in the automotive industry
