Dr. Rolf Breidenbach
Chairman of the Advisory Board
Dr. Rolf Breidenbach became a member of the Advisory Board of the Brose Group on 1 July 2022 and its Chairman since 1 January 2024.
He studied mechanical engineering and economics at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Universität in Aachen, where he also earned his doctorate. After holding management positions in industry and in a technical services company, he joined the management consultancy McKinsey in 1995, becoming its partner in 2000. From 2004 to 2022, he was Chairman of the Management Board at automotive supplier Hella.
Dr. Rolf Breidenbach was a member of the Board of Management of the German Association of the Automotive Industry for more than seven years. He still is a member of the Supervisory Board of Dürr AG, of ZF Friedrichshafen AG and STIHL AG as well as a member of the Advisory Board of STIHL Holding AG & CO KG.
Member of the Advisory Board
Franz-Josef Kortüm became a member of the advisory board on 1 April 2005. He was Chairman of the board from 2013 to 2023.
He studied business administration at the universities of Münster and Regensburg. From 1976 to 1992 the business administration graduate held various management positions at Daimler AG and was, among other things, General Manager of the Domestic Commercial Vehicle Sales Division. Following his tenure as CEO at Audi AG, Franz-Josef Kortüm joined Webasto AG in 1994 where he was Chairman of the Managing Board for 13 years. In early 2013 he was appointed to the supplier’s supervisory board and had been its chairman from 2018 to 2019. He is also a member on other supervisory boards in Germany and abroad.
For his entrepreneurial achievements and many years of volunteer work, especially as a member of the managing boards of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and the Bavarian Industry Association (vbw), Franz-Josef Kortüm received the Federal Cross of Merit in February 2008.
Dr. Bernd Bohr
Member of the Advisory Board
Dr. Bernd Bohr became a member of the Advisory Board of the Brose Group on 1 January 2023. Furthermore, he was appointed to the re-established Technology Advisory Board, which assesses the current situation and strategy of our product and manufacturing development twice a year.
He studied mechanical engineering, specializing in production technology, at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Universität in Aachen. After completing his dissertation in control engineering, he held various management positions at Robert Bosch GmbH, including worldwide responsibility for the company's automotive electronics division. Dr. Bernd Bohr managed the development of the antilock braking system and Brakes division before being appointed as member of the Management Board in 1999. From 2003 to 2013, he was chairman of the Bosch’s Automotive Group business sector, with responsibility for the worldwide automotive activities.
Dr. Bernd Bohr is active in the automotive sector in an advisory capacity. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ottobock SE & Co. KGaA and a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutz AG.
