Changes to the Executive Management Board of the Brose Group
Sandro Scharlibbe, veteran executive of the Brose Group, is leaving the family company on 30 June 2021 in order to pursue his own entrepreneurial ventures.
Sandro Scharlibbe began his 25-year-long career at Brose in 1996 as a sales engineer. The business administration graduate was, among other things, responsible for Purchasing as Executive Vice President from 2012 to 2017 and restructured the central division. The purchasing volume rose from 3.2 to 4.6 billion euros in this period. The division received various awards during his tenure, including the “World Procurement Award”.
In early 2018 Scharlibbe took over responsibility for the Interior business division and stabilized Brose seat business in a difficult market environment. Scharlibbe expanded the product range and customer portfolio and laid the foundation for future growth through strategic partnerships. He was also heavily involved in the planning of the joint venture with Volkswagen AG for complete seats.
“Sandro Scharlibbe has shaped the development of our family-owned company over many years with great personal commitment. Our customers, suppliers and employees appreciate his strategic way of thinking and his authenticity,” says Michael Stoschek, Chairman of the Brose Group, describing Scharlibbe’s strengths. “The shareholders and advisory board thank him for his tireless commitment to Brose.”
Ulrich Schrickel, Chief Executive Officer of the Brose Group, adds: “Our employees especially respected Sandro Scharlibbe for his vision of Brose’s expansion, which he pushed ahead across departmental boundaries. On behalf of the executive management board, I wish him all the best and continued success for his future.”
