Injection Moulding Specialist

Your Job Specification

  • Troubleshoot and adjust moulding parameters to maintain quality and maximum product output
  • Lead a small team of people in execution of daily production tasks, work scheduling, training, maintenance and in continuous improvement
  • Perform problem-solving to develop corrective actions for issues and to initiate continuous improvement plans
  • Coordinate tooling and equipment availability, repair and maintenance
  • Implement and manage all maintenance functions, including but not limited to preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on all injection molding equipment
  • Ensure upskilling of all staff with regards to tooling and injection techniques
  • Tooling spares control
  • Ensure Optimal operation of injection moulding machines
  • Ensure that the required lockout procedure is adhered to before any work on machines or equipment. The (Lockout system) describes the details of the process to ensure the safety of all

Your Profile

  • Grade 12 / Standard 10
  • Qualified artisan (Trade tested Toolmaker)
  • Formal training in Injection Moulding Plastics technology (Good knowledge of Scientific molding principles)
  • Supervision or management qualification will be advantageous
  • Formal training in basic disciplinary management will be advantageous
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a toolmaking specific to automotive component injection tooling and hands-on injection moulding environment
