FIRST Robotics
Since 2016, Brose has proudly supported FIRST Robotics, an international program that challenges students to design, build, and compete with robots while developing essential skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Today, we sponsor multiple middle and high school teams across Michigan and Alabama, giving students hands-on experience in problem solving, innovation, and teamwork. By investing in FIRST Robotics, we’re helping to build a strong pipeline of future STEM talent while encouraging the creativity and curiosity that will drive the automotive industry forward.
Modern Manufacturing
Brose extends its commitment to workforce development by supporting local mechatronics education in Tuscaloosa. Through a long-standing partnership with area schools, we provide students with access to real-world tools and training, including forklifts and machinery no longer in use at our plant. Beyond supplying equipment, our team engages directly with classes and faculty to share industry expertise and highlight career opportunities in advanced manufacturing. This collaboration not only strengthens students’ technical skills but has also created a successful pathway for graduates to begin their careers at Brose.
Environmental Sustainability
Brose is dedicated to reducing its environmental footprint and investing in sustainable solutions for the future. At our Querétaro Aeropuerto location in Mexico, we inaugurated a new solar panel installation in the plant’s modernized parking lot — the first time this technology has been applied in this way within the Brose Group. The 1,080 panels generate renewable energy that now supplies 7% of the plant’s electricity needs and will help avoid approximately 400 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. By harnessing solar energy, we are not only lowering our dependence on nonrenewable sources but also reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation in our operations.
