Reorganization of the Brose executive management board

Brose has completed the reorganization at the top management level. Dr. Patrick Popp (51) became the head of the electrical drives business division on 1 February; he succeeds Reinhard Kretschmer (62) who will leave the company at the end of the year when he retires. Frank Lubischer (55) took over responsibility for Brose’s North America business from Michael Brosseau (50) on 1 March. Niklas Beyes (47) will succeed Volker Herdin (54) as head of Commercial Administration Brose Group on 1 May.

“The reorganization of our company’s top management is complete. We will push ahead with the successful development of Brose with a strong management team,” says Kurt Sauernheimer, CEO of the Brose Group.

Patrick Popp was appointed Executive Vice President Electrical Drives on 1 February and is responsible for global business with drives while also heading the corporate group’s electronics activities. The Würzburg-based business division contributed around 1 billion euros to the Brose Group’s turnover last year. Popp earned a PhD in engineering and has held various management board positions at international companies in the automotive and electronics industries. Most recently he was in charge of the Professional Lighting Systems division at electronics giant Philips. He has more than 20 years of experience in management as well as in product development and digitization.

Frank Lubischer is the new President of Brose North America effective 1 March. The automotive engineer has lived in the United States for 18 years and has nearly 30 years of experience in the automotive supplier industry, among other companies at Lucas/TRW. Lubischer comes from steering systems specialist Nexteer, where he was responsible for strategy, technology and global engineering.

Niklas Beyes will take over as the new Executive Vice President of Commercial Administration Brose Group on 1 May. The business administration graduate has over 20 years of experience in finance and the automotive industry. Among other positions, Beyes was CFO Europe at Schaeffler KG, member of the management board of SKF GmbH Germany and most recently CFO of the FTE automotive Group in Ebern.

The changes to the executive management board are complete with these appointments. Kurt Sauernheimer, previously Executive Vice President Door Systems, had additionally been appointed CEO of the Brose Group effective 1 January. The executive vice presidents of seat systems and purchasing swapped positions at that time.
