In recognition of its outstanding performance in terms of quality, on-time delivery, and cost-effectiveness, the Ford Motor Company has presented the "World Excellence Award" to the Brose plant in Sta. Margarida (Spain).

The award was given to a total of 62 suppliers. It is the car manufacturer's highest recognition for suppliers. This is the fifth time in the last seven years that Brose Sta. Margarida has received the award.

During the award ceremony at Ford's world headquarters in Dearborn (USA), Tony Brown, Group Vice President Global Purchasing Ford Motor Company, emphasized the great importance of the suppliers in the success of the American car manufacturer: "Our suppliers are the driving force for continued growth at Ford Motor Company. Without the support, hard work and innovation of our suppliers, we would not be able to deliver on our promise to build top quality vehicles.

Allan Mulally, Ford President and CEO, agreed and praised the award winners for continuing to embrace the ONE Ford mindset. "We are very grateful for their performance which enables us to offer our global customers high-value products."

Over the last six years, Brose has received 12 awards from Ford for excellent performance in development, production and quality. The "World Excellence Award" has gone five times to the Brose location in Sta. Margarida which has supplied the American automaker with door systems since 2005 and window regulators since 2010.

Jan Kowal, President Brose North America, accepted the award on behalf of the Spanish plant, stating: "The repeated recognition of our Spanish plant in Sta. Margarida and other European and American Brose plants in the past is a great sign of confidence and likewise incentive for us to continue in our efforts to deliver top performance in all regions."

At present, Brose supplies window regulators, door, seat and closure systems, as well as electronics, electric motors, drive train actuators, drives for HVAC blowers, electric power steering motors and systems for the touch-free opening and closing of liftgates for 34 Ford and Lincoln vehicle models from 21 plants in Europe and overseas.
