Innovative welding with 16 robots

To make production in our family-owned company as efficient, flexible, ergonomic and unique as possible, we develop and implement production systems in-house. For example, the Brose Group Manufacturing Equipment Center has planned and built a new, cutting edge robot system for jigless welding.

A total of 16 robots weld, inspect and package components fully automatically and without fixtures at eight-second cycles. This is a real advance on the current state of the art, where the parts to be welded still have to be positioned and fixed in jigs. Another advantage of the system is that it saves investment costs because it is also relatively easy to retool for other products.
