Changes in the Executive Management of the Brose Group
Ulrich Schrickel (57) has asked the shareholders and the advisory board to release him from his contractual obligations as CEO of the Brose Group as of September 1, 2023. The shareholders and advisory board are sorry about this decision and would like to thank Mr. Schrickel for his great commitment since the beginning of 2020. They wish him all the best in his future career.
Dr. Philipp Schramm (43) has been appointed as interim successor. After studying business administration and working in consulting companies, Mr. Schramm held various positions in Germany and abroad at Webasto SE from 2010 to 2020, most recently as Executive Vice President for Purchasing and Supplier Quality. At Brose, Philipp Schramm was initially Head of Central Purchasing and, as a member of the Group Executive Board, Commercial Director and Deputy Chairman since 2021.
Philipp Schramm has the full support of the shareholders and advisory board in his task of - in addition to his commercial responsibility - bringing the family-owned company Brose back on track for success in difficult times. The high order backlog, the good financial resources and a qualified global workforce are a good basis for this.
Furthermore, Bernhard Blauth (52) will take over the central area of Organization and Human Resources within the Group Executive Board at the beginning of September 2023.
Bernhard Blauth studied law in Münster, Lausanne and Freiburg and obtained a Master of Law in San Diego. After working as a lawyer in Frankfurt, he headed the human resources and legal departments at various industrial companies, including six years at automotive supplier Preh GmbH in Bad Neustadt. From 2013 to the present, Mr. Blauth has been Head of Human Resources Europe Rail Vehicles at the family-owned company Knorr-Bremse in Munich.
Bernhard Blauth succeeds Dr. Olaf Gelhausen (47), who has headed this management division since October 2020 and whose contract has expired. The shareholders and advisory board would also like to thank Mr. Gelhausen for his great commitment.
