- Maintain accurate financial records pertaining to fixed asset such as assets under construction, book and tax depreciation, inventories with sub-ledger reconciliation, and maintain additions and disposals.
- Support customer teams through entire maintenance of accounts receivable functions such as cash application, invoice dispute resolution, management of aged accounts and customer collections.
- Perform inter-company billing including follow up of inquiries, invoice dispute resolution and management of aged accounts.
- Participate in activities leading up to and completing month end close resulting in accurate monthly reconciliations of various accounts.
- Keep accounting system, process documentation, and department procedures updated with all relevant information.
- Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
- Reviews, investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
- Installs, modifies, documents and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures as necessary.
- Perform/participate in ad hoc projects as needed.
Your Profile
- Four year college or university degree in accounting preferred or relevant accounting experience.
- Three to five years’ work experience in accounting, primarily in general ledger accounting
- Automotive experience helpful but not required.
