Controls Engineer

Your tasks

  • Evaluate, engineer, and improve pre-assembly, assembly and final assembly stations and end of line testers (EOLTs) including screw stations, cable winding/assembly machines for window regulators, riveting machines, and weld cells, used on production lines for mechatronic seat adjuster systems; seat structures; and door modules at New Boston Plant. Design, program, implement, and troubleshoot automated plant control systems including Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) (S7-300 to S7-1500 series) with Step 7 Classic and TIA Portal programming tools, Siemens Human Machine Interface (HMI) system (using WinCC Flexible and TIA Portal to program), Siemens SCADA system (WinCC), using C++, C# and VB programming languages, for operators to interact with PLC-based production machinery, and to support high volume production of mechatronic seat/latch systems and door modules.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, or related.
  • Twenty-four months’ experience as Engineer, Programmer Engineer, or related, programing and implementing automated plant control systems including Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) with TIA Portal programming tool and Siemens Human Machine Interface (HMI) system, using C++/C# programming languages, for operators to interact with PLC-based production machinery, or related.
