Brose Junior Company
Every skilled occupation requires different capabilities. The Brose Junior Company enables first and second-year apprentices to use all of their talents – just like they would in a real company. Apprentices learn about accepting and processing orders, customer service, production and much more in this training company, and tasks are coordinated and streamlined here. This simulation enhances your understanding of our company’s workflows, promotes team spirit, ambition and responsible action. It also helps prepare you for your career in the Brose Group.
Electronics technician for automation technology
As an electronics technician for automation technology, you ensure that the power supply, control and lighting technology work for all vehicle systems.
Can you demonstrate a knowledge of technology and manual dexterity? Do you enjoy learning to control electronic components? Do you also have absolutely perfect color vision? And have you successfully completed your secondary education?
Training content
During your apprenticeship you will learn to wire and program electrical controls. You install assemblies, switchgear and complete machines. You’re also responsible for commissioning, monitoring, inspecting and maintaining electrical systems and components. You’ll learn about analog and digital electronics along with modern control engineering.
You’re responsible for independently performing your tasks with the help of circuit diagrams or instructions.
Prerequisites

IT specialist
Application development and systems integration specialization
As an IT specialist, you are responsible for planning, programming and deploying data processing and communications applications.
Training content
A core prerequisite for both specializations is an in-depth understanding and mastery of the latest PC and IT systems. You’ll learn programming languages and receive an introduction to all of the relevant hardware and software technologies. The apprenticeship program also deepens your knowledge of core business processes. You will be involved in major projects as a full-fledged member of our team as early as your second year of training.
Apprentices specializing in application development focus primarily on commercial and technical systems along with expert and multimedia tools. These include accounting, controlling, HR and ERP applications as well as sales and CAD system software solutions.
The systems integration specialization is essential for those wishing to work with data center, network and client-server systems.
What do you bring to the table?
You have excellent PC skills and are interested in information technology and data processing. You are an analytical thinker, an organizational talent and enjoy carefully planning complex tasks.
You have successfully completed your secondary education (Realschule or Gymnasium).
Your career prospects

Industrial clerk
Traditional careers for industrial clerks include commercial jobs in administration such as purchasing, sales, HR, accounting or controlling. At Brose, industrial clerks are employed as office staff or support for technical projects, industrial engineering and production teams.
Training content
In addition to commercial and business training content, such as procurement, order processing and accounting, sales and marketing, you will also become familiar with the extensive, process-oriented areas of responsibility and workflows of a globally successful automotive supplier. A command of international communication along with an extensive knowledge of computers complete your apprenticeship.
Prerequisites
You have a wide range of interests and a very good general education. Specifically, you see your main strengths in conducting business tasks in a globally operating industrial corporation.
You have successfully completed your secondary education (Realschule or Gymnasium).
Your career prospects
Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will support departments such as purchasing, logistics, HR, organization or accounting in your role as an office staff member. After a few years, you can transfer to a different Brose location or be promoted to responsible positions within your area.

Machine operator
Specializing in metal and/or plastics engineering
We require machine operators in all of our production locations and manufacturing areas. Above all, they are responsible for process-oriented production tasks, control the flow of materials for production systems and carry out quality assurance.
Training content
During your apprenticeship you will learn to set up, operate, control and regulate production systems. You’ll learn all there is to know about maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting and practice preparing work processes and selecting and applying testing means and methods.
Another focus of training includes technical work with different materials, quality assurance, environmental protection and occupational safety. A knowledge of business aspects rounds out your apprenticeship.
Prerequisites
You demonstrate tenacity, manual dexterity and are interested in technology.
You have successfully completed your secondary education.
Your career prospects
Our systematic education and training program offers you ample opportunity for development and growth. For example, you can use this apprenticeship as a stepping stone to a career as an industrial foreman specializing in metal engineering[g1] and rise to the level of production foreman.

Mechatronics technician
Mechatronics is a key element of modern industrial production. Forming a bond between mechanical and electronics work, mechatronics technicians primarily assemble, operate and maintain complex production plants and systems. This includes measuring and inspecting all of the system components and, in some cases, programming production systems.
Training content
In addition to manual and mechanical materials processing, your apprenticeship also includes assembling mechanical, electromechanical, electrical and electronic components into complete mechatronics systems.
You learn testing and measuring methods and obtain basic programming knowledge.
Prerequisites
You demonstrate considerable technical skills along with manual dexterity, are interested in working in the metal and electrical trade and have absolutely perfect color vision. You have successfully completed your secondary education.
Your career prospects
Our systematic education and training program offers you ample opportunity for development and growth. You can obtain further qualification as an industrial foreman specializing in electrical or metal engineering, electrical or mechanical engineering. Mechatronics foreman, electronics developer or industrial engineer are just some of the options available to you.

Mechatronics technician dual vocational training
Mechatronics technicians primarily assemble, operate and maintain complex production plants and systems. This dual vocational training concept lets you combine three key aspects: as a mechatronics technician you blend your knowledge of mechanics and electronics into a single promising career. While completing your apprenticeship, you also acquire your upper secondary level school leaving certificate. Then, following an additional six months, you qualify to study at a university of applied science. We also provide you with financial assistance. Your advantage: obtain your vocational training and qualify for study at a university of applied science in just three years instead of the four and half years it usually takes. We expect you to: obtain your degree in engineering following your dual vocational training. Contribute to the success of our company with this apprenticeship.
Training content

We support your studies at a university of applied science in a number of ways. We advise you on your choice of college and degree program. A Brose manager will mentor you during your studies. We offer you a job as a working student and assist you with your seminar and bachelor’s thesis.

Many doors are open to you as a mechatronics technician with dual vocational training and a Bachelor’s in Engineering. Technical product designer
Replacing the engineering draftsman job description, today’s technical product designers work closely with engineers and designers to create three-dimensional data models for new product concepts. They are also responsible for technical documentation, including drawings and presentations.
Training content
You follow a product’s development from the initial idea through to the finished virtual model. So your apprenticeship will include an in-depth introduction to construction, design, calculation and simulation.
You learn how to work with CAD systems and programs (computer programs used to design and construct engineering solutions). You’ll gain a detailed understanding of production workflows and conditions so that you can create products that can be manufactured economically.
Your training is augmented by specialist knowledge in materials engineering, manufacturing, assembly and joining processes and skill working with different geometries and design rules.
Prerequisites
Excellent spatial perception is a must. You want to create objects, are meticulous and enjoy precision work. You like working with computers – and with complex programs – and enjoy mathematics.
You have successfully completed your secondary education (Realschule or higher).
Your career prospects
Our systematic education and training program offers you ample opportunity for development and growth. You can obtain further qualification as a mechanical engineer, for example. Or become a design engineer and help develop new products.

Tool and die maker
You need sophisticated precision tools to produce individual components for complex systems such as window regulators in the required quantity and quality. As a tool and die maker you are responsible for developing, producing and servicing these tools and dies.
Training content
To create a new precision tool, you also need to be able to write programs for computer-controlled machine tools yourself. In addition, you learn everything there is to know about the different materials you’ll be processing: steel, aluminum, plastic or zinc alloys.
Your profile is completed by specialist knowledge of machining methods such as milling, grinding, turning or profiling along with various surface treatments such as galvanizing or painting.
Prerequisites
You are tech-savvy and good with your hands. You want to create objects, are meticulous and enjoy precision work.
You have successfully completed your secondary education.
Your career prospects
Our systematic education and training program offers you ample opportunity for development and growth. You can obtain further qualification as a master tradesman, industrial foreman or mechanical engineer, for example.
