Acoustics Engineer

Gather technical (gear ratios and sound level algorithms) and mechatronic product data, install, tryout, and implement acoustics and process engineering techniques, develop and optimize End of Line Testers (EOLTs), and define acoustics measurement methods and subjective/objective evaluation, to assure quality of mechatronic systems during high volume production at New Boston Plant (NBO). Analyze, engineer, and improve acoustic profiles and reduce Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) and Buzz, Squeak, and Rattle (BSR) across production lines, and achieve technical sound quality requirements of OEM vehicle maker customers of seat systems; tailgate spindle drives; door modules; and back frame lines. Use tools to perform and issue weekly reports on acoustics, NVH, and BSR analyses including HEAD Acoustics Recorder and ArtemiS; Goepel CARoLINE and Siemens Anovis (acoustic parameter/quak/pulse/hall sensor/and ripple settings); and Squadriga, PCB accelerometer and microphones.
Your Profile
- Bachelor, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related.
- Twenty-four months’ experience as Engineer or related, analyzing and engineering acoustic profiles and reducing Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) and Buzz, Squeak, and Rattle (BSR) across production lines, and achieving technical sound quality requirements of OEM vehicle maker customers, or related.
