Process Engineer Intern - Welding Technology (Year- Round)

- Providing and implementing methods to improve the quality of the production processes for all welding technologies (ie. MIG/MAG, Projection, CMT, laser, Remote, etc)
- Support Cut and Etch process during prototype builds
- Shadow audits / supplier visits during prototype builds with our team
- Shadow weld fixture design release with our team
- Setup, program and execute LBW and GMAW programs for prototype builds
- Shadow build management process including scrap, target quantities, timing
- Travel to local brose plants to see our production processes and methods (shadowed with welding team)
- Review drawing specifications (in standard drawings) and welding technology standards and provide deviation requests as necessary
- Continuous improvement of the welding technology processes regarding quality and costs
- Adhere to Safety requirements of the Welding Application center / Brose North America
Your Profile
- Must be currently attending a college or university
- Industrial, Mechanical or Welding Engineering major
- Must be at least sophomore standing
- Start Date- This position is planned to start May 1, 2024
- Hybrid (in office at Auburn Hills location 3 days a week dependent on school schedule)
- Able to work 15-20 hours per week on average during the school year/ flexible schedule
- Able to work 30-40 hours per week on average during the summer/ flexible schedule
