Electrician

Your tasks

  • Install new electrical and electronic equipment an electrical wiring according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards.
  • Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems for facility projects, and equipment in the office and plant.
  • Ensure that facility and equipment electrical systems are maintained in a safe and reliable condition.
  • Responsible for trouble shooting and providing immediate electrical maintenance and repairs to facility equipment.
  • Perform general facility related maintenance work including: replacement of lamps / ballasts, UPS equipment, and systems.
  • Perform emergency or preventative maintenance repairs off hours as directed on nights and weekends as needed.
  • Company with and practice proper equipment clearance procedures.
  • Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes. Standard, safety and environment regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for station lockout / tag out procedures as mandated by company policy.
  • Cutting, threading, and fitting of black pipe for various installations.
  • Occasional work from a platform, boom lift and ladder.
  • Maintain daily work record and documentation of.
  • Prepare reports on ongoing projects and on the condition of equipment.
  • Develops plans and estimates for electrical projects: includes determining time, equipment, materials and human resources needed to complete the work.

Your Profile

  • Journeyman’s Electricians card
  • Knowledge of electrical codes which typically apply to the work assignment.
  • Knowledge of: standard methods, tools, equipment, materials of the electrical trade.
  • Work independently with little direction.
  • Ability to work in an elevated platform / articulating boom.
  • Experience cutting, threading and fitting black pipe is desired.
  • Knowledge of Potential occupational hazards connected with electrical work an s the safety standards and practices which should be applied.
