Fluid Pump Engineer

Your Job Specification

  • The Design Engineer – Pumps is responsible for the concepts, designs, and development of all BoM Kit components for non-compressible fluid pump development activities for the Brose Group
  • The Brose Center of Competency (PCoC) for Fluid Pumps is located at Brose North America. It is the global center of competency for all Non-Compressible Fluid pumps to include oil, glycol, and water pumps developed in the Brose Group. It consists of a team of select permanent experts and a matrix of other personnel from other Brose locations and departments who will move in and out of, or supplement the PCoC, on an as needed basis
  • The PCoC owns the Pump BoM Kit and controls all standard components and their use in the application centers throughout the Brose Group Globally
  • It is the knowledge base and provides the required training to the application centers as well as controlling production, validation methods, certifying component suppliers on a technical basis, reviews Pump RFQs to insure they comply with the BoM Kit and is the owner of all internal projects including the development project management
  • Key requirement of this position is to establish and maintain a strong working relationship and excellent communication matrix with Global Design Competency Centers, DP2 and DEW departments globally

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or System Engineering from four-year college or university
  • Minimum of ten years’ electromechanical design experience. Powertrain is preferred
  • Minimum of ten years' experience designing, testing and troubleshooting pumps and other powertrain systems in the automotive sector
  • Experience in BLDC motor design a significant plus
