Occupational Safety Environment Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Lead the Plant ARGUS team to set goals with management, drive programs, manage significant environmental aspects, evaluate risks and monitor performance to targets for cost reductions
  • Responsible for providing technical and tactical support within the location including: providing necessary support for site EHS programs; defining objectives and targets, communication of customer, internal and regulatory requirements; identifying and sharing best practices; performing market research; and coordinating activities directed from the central organization
  • Implement strong, effective systems that maintain certification to current industry standards
  • Facilitate compliance with facility, regional, corporate and regulatory standards and guidelines through assessments, inspections, recordkeeping and data documentation
  • Serve as liaison with applicable external regulatory agencies
  • Oversee the internal and external audit processes
  • Develop and present training materials to orient new and existing employees in classroom settings, workshops, and meetings
  • Support EHS aspects in planning, execution and maintenance of new facilities and their related management systems

Your profile

  • University degree in Engineering or related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in similar role within manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in understanding government regulation, safety and environmental compliance
  • Specialist for hazardous materials and safety
  • Objectively and accurately analyze EHS data utilizing analytical skills to maximize overall performance and provide input to corporate strategy
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and to communicate information regarding compliance performance or other business issues strictly on a need-to-know basis
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in sustainability / corporate social responsibility (CSR)
  • Certified lead auditor for ISO14001, ISO50001 and ISO 45001
  • Fluency in English / German would be an advantage
