AUTOMOTIVE SUPPLIER BROSE SUPPORTS PEOPLE IN NEED

  • BROSE DONATES 10,000 EUROS FOR COBURG CITIZENS IN NEED
Coburg, 12-13-2022

This year, the automotive supplier Brose is once again donating an amount of 10,000 EURO to the Social and Insurance Office for people in need. The family-owned company is thus continuing the tradition of Christmas donations initiated by company founder Max Brose in 1961.

Sharp rises in the cost of living and drastic increases in energy prices are a burden on many people. The highest inflation in around 50 years poses major challenges for people in 2022.

"Brose takes responsibility - for its employees as well as in the communities surrounding our locations worldwide," explains Steffen Tauss, Vice President Social and Healthcare Affairs at Brose. "Especially in these challenging times, social cohesion is enormously important. Even within our company, we experience that we can only be successful if we work together," Tauss continues.

With the help of the donation, the Social and Insurance Office of the City of Coburg can quickly and unbureaucratically alleviate or eliminate extreme emergencies that are not covered by statutory social benefits. Last year, for example, it was possible to provide a grant for transitional housing while a Coburg citizen's own apartment was uninhabitable due to structural defects. In addition, donations for supplementary medical products, travel costs to specialists outside Coburg and a small Christmas donation for the residents* of a residential home for disabled people, among other things, were made possible.

"The city of Coburg is very grateful for this generous support and the trusting cooperation over many years in the social sector. The donations are allocated to the needy people flexibly and unbureaucratically after examining the individual case, says Holger Diez, head of the Coburg Social and Insurance Office."
