Brose at the Design Days 2022: Innovation and inspiration in the parking garage

Jonas Scheler shows the new augmented reality application.

Coburg, 05-29-2022

Brose took part in the 34th Coburg Design Days again this year, which were held in the Mauer multi-storey car park and other venues in the city centre. At our stand, we put the spotlight on technology and exhibits on micromobility. According to the organisers from the Coburg Design Forum Upper Franconia, from 24 to 29 May, around 6,000 visitors came to find out about ideas, visions and innovations on the main topics of "connectivity" and "neo-ecology".

Marco Kupke explains the special features of the Brose Drive System with our e-bike drive.

With the top three floors of the Mauer multi-storey car park, an unusual venue had been chosen. This presented the organisers and exhibitors with the challenge of transforming the surroundings, which were characterised by barren concrete, into a feel-good place that fulfilled demands in terms of aesthetics and design. The visitors' response showed that this experiment was a success. In addition to the exhibition in the multi-storey car park, there were other activities around the theme of craftsmanship and design in the city centre with workshops, lectures and concerts.

At our stand, we presented Brose's system competence in e-bike drives, displays and batteries. With the exhibit of an e-scooter including Brose drive and control unit, we presented one of our new drive concepts for micromobility.

Coburg pianist Nina Scheidmantel also visited the Brose booth.

An innovative augmented reality application provided insights into the product portfolio of our business divisions. For example, visitors could experience the convenient vehicle access, the flexible interior or our thermal management system up close. In a job application session, we provided information about current job offers, career prospects, training opportunities and the dual study programme in our family-owned company.
