Brose Motorsport: Class victory in Italy

Maniago, Italy, 05-15-2022

At the 35th Rally Piancavallo in Maniago, Italy, Michael Stoschek (Ahorn) and Dieter Hawranke (Kassel) with an Austrian team were the only foreign starters at the event, in which 139 participants were entered.

In the group of historic vehicles, they drove a Porsche from 1965 and thus the oldest vehicle in the field. The event, which covered a total length of 320 km, included six special stages over 73 km.

The inspection of the three special stages, which were driven twice during the event, took place on Friday before the event. On Saturday, after the technical scrutineering, the shakedown took place on a 2.6 km closed-off track, where the Brose team made the final tyre adjustments. While it had still rained on Saturday, only the sun shone on Sunday.

The oldest car in the field ran smoothly throughout the event and Michael Stoschek spiritedly chased the rally car over the special stages to finish at the top of the class and in 9th place overall.

The next event planned by Brose Motorsport is the Gaisberg Race from 25-28 May 2022 with Michael Stoschek and Guido Brasch.
