Brose Shanghai: Resumption of Brose Youth Camps

Shanghai, 08-25-2023

After a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brose's corporate headquarters in Shanghai hosted the Brose China Youth Camp again in August. The Youth Camp is part of our long-standing cooperation with the Gesanghua Education's Aid organisation. The initiative promotes the education and training of young adults in China.

The Youth Camp is aimed at students from middle and secondary schools and is intended to give them a playful introduction to the fascination of technology as well as an impression of working life.

A total of around 40 boys and girls took part this year. Among them were 15 pupils from Qinghai province in western China, who spent the day together with children from Shanghai.

In the morning, the young people experimented at technical stations under the guidance of Brose employees. They dismantled computers, soldered radios and learned about electrostatics. In the afternoon, a business game on the supply chain awaited the participants. Again divided into groups, they had to prove their team spirit and skills in a fictitious negotiation situation.

Zhang Qianping, teacher at Qinghai Huangyuan Senior High School, thanked Brose for organising the day: "The event was excellently prepared. The children had great experiences today and were able to learn a lot. The day at Brose left a great impression on them."
