Michael Stoschek drives Lavanttal Rally

Wolfsberg, 04-06-2019

12 cars in the Slowly Sideways group also began as pace cars at the second Austrian Rally Championship in the Lavanttal region.

The Brose team with Michael Stoschek (Ahorn) and Dieter Hawranke (Kassel) came to Carinthia with the Alfa Romeo GTAm. The 1970 car achieves 215 HP and weighs 960 kg. Participants faced 12 trials with a total length of 177 kilometers over the two days.

As expected, the extremely uneven side roads, which had been damaged by many frost heaves, proved almost impossible for the circuit car to handle.

And when the alternator failed and the windscreen wipers stopped working in the rain, the rally was over for the team after 14 kilometers at the finish of the first trial.

The next outing is the Stratos Meeting at the San Remo Rally from April 12 to 13, 2019.
