Round of 16 exit for Krawietz/Pütz

After recovering from injury, the German tennis duo Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz competed at the ATP Masters in Madrid on Tuesday, April 30, 2020. The pair advanced to the round of 16 in Round 1 with a commanding victory over the French-Dutch team of Fabrice Martin and Robin Haase. The Germans won both sets 6:2, but the following day they were defeated by the Americans Lammons and Withrow 5:7 and 4:6. In an interview after the defeat, Krawietz emphasized that he was by no means dissatisfied with his own performance and praised the opposing team for a very good, committed game.

The next ATP Masters tournament for Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz will take place next week from May 8-19, 2024. The venue is Rome.
