Successful test at the Gollert Rally

Mosbach, 10-27-2018

After almost one year being built, the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8 was tested for the first time. Michael Stoschek chose the Gollert Rally around Eisenach for that. He began as the pace car with his long-standing co-pilot Dieter Hawranke.

Four different trials were driven twice, giving a total of 67 kilometers of special trials.

For the first time, the new rally car had a chassis that had been developed in Italy and resulted in more grip on the front axle and a rear axle which better influences steering. That setting is especially advantageous in the events with a lot of bends in the Dolomites in Italy.

Michael Stoschek and Guido Brasch were satisfied with the result of the conversion work and will do some fine tuning in further tests using different tires.

The next outing for the Brose Motorsport rally team is the Valpantena Rally near Verona on November 9 and 10. Michael Stoschek will be behind the wheel of a 1984 Porsche 911 SC/RS with Philipp Späth as his co-pilot.
