Project Buyer (Base in Changchun)

Your Job Specification

  • Coordination and management of purchasing topics within global platform projects for known and new technologies and products in reconciliation with all involved functions according to the product development process. Case of difficult topics in reconciliation with the supervisor.
  • Preparation and execution of target settings according to the defined process with the responsible specialist functions
  • Identification and indication of cost reduction potentials as well as ensuring of their global implementation for profit improvement according to target objectives and after approval of the Project Purchasing Manager
  • Preparation of the project specific global procurement concept and approval together with the Project Manager, the responsible specialist functions and the Project Purchasing Manager
  • Inducement and monitoring of the creation and collection of inquiries in close reconciliation with the component purchasing
  • Responsibility of the purchasing budget for the Product Unit
  • Coordination and controlling of purchasing tasks within the project change management process
  • Continuous demand planning (short-, mid- and long-term) for the assigned projects
  • Calculation and preparation of data for the inquiry process in accordance to the project requirements
  • Responsible for escalation within the projects
  • GT: Implementation of the procurement of prototypes and direct nominated parts as well as implementation of the project change management process for buy parts during the whole project lifetime according to the defined Brose guidelines. These include the inquiry, evaluation of supplier offers and their contractual implementation and keeping of deadlines5

Your Profile

  • Completed technical or business management degree or comparable apprenticeship
  • 3-5 years working experience
  • Fluent English skill both in oral and writing
  • Well-developed technical knowledge (regarding manufacturing technologies, etc.)
  • Good knowledge in target costing and value analysis
  • Good knowledge of project management methods
  • Good knowledge of contract law
  • Good IT skills: MS Office applications, MS Project, SAP R/3 MM-Module (SAP Key User)
