Quality Engineer

- Responsible contact (internal and external) for all quality related issues. Generate advanced quality plan and determine appropriate quality control measures (FMEA, q-plan, gauges, capability studies, etc.) in close conjunction with engineering, pre-production planning, production center teams as well as the customers and suppliers.
- Ensure the implementation and supervision of customer quality requirements and goals within the organization.
- On-time fulfillment of customer PPAP/ISIR requirements.
- Plan and present quality data for potential new business.
- Interaction with other AQE’s group within Division and Central Quality to improve standards, procedures, Lessons Learned, etc.
- Generate advanced quality plans with the customers, suppliers, production center team, and central departments.
- Creation of quality plans, verification of product manufacturability, collaboration on design and process FMEA.
- Design and development of test fixtures, arrange construction, and monitor completion as well as keeping costs within planned budget.
- Improve the quality situation through the constant analysis of the product together with the product team.
- Primary customer quality interface during development and early production phases of new projects
- Ensure compliance to IATF 16949, ASO 14001, VDA, Brose PDP or other customer and federally regulated standards.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Manufacturing/Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university.
- Five years’ experience in the automotive/supplier industry within the fields of quality methods and quality control.
- Ability to speak English, (ideally) German and Spanish language.
