Transport Team Lead

Your Job Specification

  • Analyze freight expenses and other financial information in order to identify cost savings, process changes, and budgets for increasing profits and improving services
  • Select and develop Logistic Service Providers by considering both operational processes as well as cost. Collaborate with purchasing in making supplier decisions based on a total “Landed Cost”
  • Monitor spending through carrier KPIs to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets. Perform root cause analysis for exceptions
  • Reconcile disputes between freight companies and Brose locations
  • Administer freight claims and coordinate with plants and insurance providers on specific claims
  • Administer contractual obligations between Brose and transport providers
  • Assist coworkers with transportation related costs and options for both active and projects in development
  • Support global customer and project teams for strategic decisions regionally and worldwide
  • Support the NA BTM team with carrier related development; conflict resolution; carrier performance
  • Define and develop Logistics network in North America; optimizing and streamlining network to achieve lowest cost of delivery

Your Profile

  • BA/BS in Supply Chain Management
  • 5 years of experience in logistics or the supply chain management field
  • Customs and Incoterm knowledge
  • Knowledge of various modes used in the NA region
  • Transportation regulations
  • SAP R/3 experience preferred
