Brose Motorsport: Third place at the Gaisbergrennen

Salzburg, 06-01-2024

The 20th edition of the Gaisberg Race for historic automobiles took place in the Salzburg region from May 30 to June 1.

137 teams from seven nations presented their vehicles from all eras of automotive history to the motorsport-loving audience.

Michael Stoschek (Ahorn) and Guido Brasch (Coburg) entered a Porsche 914/6 GT from 1970. The vehicle delivers 210 hp at a weight of 1000 kg.

The three-day event in regularity mode traditionally consisted of a Grand Prix through the historic old town of Salzburg, special stages through the Salzkammergut and up the Gaisberg as well as a classification on the Salzburgring.

While the sun was still shining brightly for the City Grand Prix on Thursday, it rained continously for most of the following days.

The stage on the Salzburgring on Saturday proved to be particularly challenging, as the rain caused the race track to be flooded to a depth of several centimeters in places. The speed could be freely chosen here.

Michael Stoschek proved his skills as a racing driver, especially with the optimal rain tires that Guido Brasch had fitted. With a gap of over 10 seconds, Michael Stoschek set the fastest time in his group and finished third in the class. The team finished 27th in the overall standings.
