BBL: Bamberg Enthralls Against Bonn!

The Bamberg Baskets are back on track. After victories in the ENBL and the BBL Cup, they followed up with a well-deserved win in the BBL at home against Bonn. In the 92:73 (43:39) game, they never gave the guests even a hint of a chance, silencing the traveling fans. The nine-time German champions never fell behind.
The first few minutes of the game could be described as a feeling-out process, but then Bamberg really got going, and it quickly became clear who was in charge of this match. With the once again fantastic support of the fans, the defense stood strong, and on offense, the open man was sought and found. KeyShawn Feazell's three-point play already put the hosts in double-digit lead in the first quarter, forcing Bonn's coach Roel Moors to take his first timeout. Although Bonn showed more focus afterward, Bamberg maintained their lead and ended the first quarter ahead 24:14. The second quarter initially seemed to continue in the same vein. However, after leading 36:16, Bamberg briefly faltered defensively, allowing Bonn to fight back to 41:39 by halftime. After the break, the hosts quickly extinguished the guests' budding hopes. Bamberg fans witnessed a veritable fireworks display of three-pointers and dunks from their team, which pulled away again to 75:63. In the final quarter, the hosts left nothing to chance. At 87:61, even the traveling Bonn fans turned their backs on their team. It was a tough day for the guests from the Rhineland and a perfect evening for every Bamberg fan.
On Wednesday, December 18, the Bamberg Baskets have the opportunity to make another statement at home in the ENBL against the Bakken Bears from Aarhus, Denmark. Tip-off at the BROSE ARENA is at 8:00 PM.
