Brose Motorsport: Rally Due Valli

Verona, 07-25-2015

The Brose Motorsport team with Michael Stoschek and co-pilot Dieter Hawranke lined up in a Porsche RS 3.0 l at the Rally Due Valli in Verona. Sixty-five teams competed in the race for the Campionato Italiano Rally Auto Storiche 2015, which was held on July 24 to 25.

The program on Saturday included 11 special stages totaling 97 kilometers, plus 190 kilometers of transport stages. Even before the start, the extremely hot weather, with temperatures of up to 39° C, took its toll on men and machines. Twenty-eight vehicles had to drop out of the rally owing to the tough conditions. The Brose team faced problems as well. High temperatures under the hood heated up the tank and caused air bubbles to form in the gasoline, killing the engine.

But in spite of this problem and the resulting loss of time, Michael Stoschek and Dieter Hawranke were able to reach the finish line, capturing 13th place overall and 5th place in their class.

The next challenge for Brose Motorsport will be the Rallye Piancavallo, with the start and finish lines on the Piancavallo ski mountain on 7/8 August 2015.
