Hamburg Open: Title defense for Krawietz/Pütz at Olympic dress rehearsal

Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz won the doubles competition at the Hamburg Open on Sunday afternoon and defended their title. As the most successful German duo, they celebrated a great success that gives them plenty of self-confidence just in time for the 2024 Olympic Games.
In the final, Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz beat France's Fabien Reboul and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 7:6 (10:8) and 6:2. The first set was hard-fought and ended in a tie-break, which Krawietz and Pütz won. They produced a dominant performance in the second set to secure their second consecutive title at the ATP 500 clay court tournament. This success was absolutely deserved, especially as they did not concede a single set in the entire tournament.
By winning the final, Krawietz and Pütz improved their season record to 27-13 and climbed to sixth place in the ATP Doubles rankings. Now they have to continue their excellent form at the Olympic Games in Paris.
