Kevin Krawietz still in the running at Wimbledon

Kevin Krawietz, the tennis professional from Witzmannsberg, has reached the last 32 at the legendary Wimbledon tournament. He and his partner Andreas Mies defeated the duo Romain Arneodo from Monaco and the American James Cerretani on Thursday, July 5, coming out on top by 6:3, 7:6, 4:6 and 6:3 in four sets after two hours and 40 minutes. It is his best result at one of the big Grand-Slam tournaments.

Before that, the two Germans beat Hugo Dellien/Goncalo Oliveira in three sets and the Belgian pairing Sander Gillé/Joran Vliegen convincingly by 6:3 and 7:6 in the qualifying rounds.
