Dominance. There is no better word that could more accurately describe the performance by medi bayreuth in its home game on the 5th matchday of the easyCredit German Basketball League. It was simply impressive to see the professionalism and resolve with which the team of Head Coach Raoul Korner tackled the encounter against Basketball Lions Braunschweig and also kept that up throughout the 40 minutes to run out winners by 96:48 (47:27). The win meant that medi bayreuth has not only broken its record of 4:1 wins from the opening of the 2012/2013 season after gaining promotion back to the first division, but also celebrated its highest win in its seventh year in the German league. Its largest winning margin before that dates from October 10, 2013. The opponent back then: New York Phantoms Braunschweig under Head Coach Raoul Korner.
