Motorsport: Christian Engelhart warms up for the DTM season at the Red Bull Ring

New car, new team, new race series - time to settle in. Christian Engelhart has rung in the 2023 season together with Toksport WRT. During the two-day intensive DTM test at the Red Bull Ring in Styria, the Starnberg driver prepared his Porsche 911 GT3 R for the first race laps in the new environment. Now analysis and growing together are on the agenda.

Snow-covered slopes of the adjacent mountains, temperatures in the single digits, Christian Engelhart dressed in a thick white Porsche jacket - that's how the weekend began at the Red Bull Ring, which initially offered a wintry atmosphere in the middle of April.

It will be the #99 that will adorn Christian's Porsche 911 GT3 R this season. A total of six test sections were completed over the two days in Spielberg. The results played only a minor role, as the experienced GT driver's first priority is to get to know the new car. "Not only that. We are completely new as a team and are now growing together as a unit and getting to know each other."

"We can't make any concrete assessments at this stage. It's too early, after all, we are still six weeks away from the start of the season. Now we first go into the analysis of the two test days." However, Christian was already able to gain a first impression during the test, "and we are now building on that together."
