Olympics: Krawietz and Pütz represent Germany

On June 26, the German Tennis Federation (DTB) announced the final squad for the 33rd Summer Olympics, which will take place in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Among them: Coburg tennis player Kevin Krawietz. Together with Tim Pütz, he will represent Germany in the men's doubles at the most prestigious sporting event.
The DTB is sending a total of six men and four women to the Summer Olympics in Paris. The tennis team will be led by the reigning Olympic singles champion, Alexander Zverev. Jan-Lennard Struff, Dominik Koepfer and Maximilian Marterer, who was nominated late, will also be competing in the men's team. Angelique Kerber, Tatjana Maria, Tamara Korpatsch and Laura Siegemund have been nominated for the women's singles.
Krawietz and Pütz's joint career in doubles started at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo. In their first appearance together, Krawietz and Pütz reached the quarter-finals, but were ultimately beaten by Croatian doubles pair Ivan Dodig and Marin Čilić. Since then, they have been playing the ATP Tour together. With the nomination, Krawietz and Pütz now have the opportunity to continue their impressive journey and represent Germany at the Olympics once again. This recognition is not only a validation of their achievements so far, but also a chance to show their determination and team spirit on the biggest stage in sport.
