Staff restructuring completed – Brose Bamberg parts ways with Rutkauskas and Czerny

After the successful strides forward made by the team on court, Bamberger Basketball GmbH has now completed its staff restructuring. The working relationship with Sport Director Ginas Rutkauskas has been terminated with immediate effect.

Arne Dirks comments: “We thank Ginas Rutkauskas, who has been with us since September 1, 2017, for the work he has done and wish him all the best for the future. During our planning for the coming season, it became clear that he and we had different views about the team’s composition. We want to return to our identity, to the ‘Bamberg way,’ with its focus on developing young players.”

Besides Ginas Rutkauskas, Brose Bamberg has also parted ways with Felix Czerny, Head Coach of its ProA team Baunach Young Pikes. His current assistant Mario Dugandzic and Yassin Idbihi will take over coaching the farm team until further notice.

Yassin Idbihi, Youth Coordinator at Brose Bamberg, comments: “We thank Felix Czerny for his commitment in the season to date. However, we’ve come to the conclusion that we need fresh impetus. We wish him all the best in his professional career and private life in the future.”
