Tennis: ATP Finals - Krawietz and Tecau leave with victory

Brose-backed tennis pro Kevin Krawietz won his last group match at the ATP Finals with his interim partner Horia Tecău. The doubles pair put in an impressive performance to beat Horacio Zeballos (Argentina) and Marcel Granollers (Spain) 6-4, 6-7 (1-7), 10-6 in Turin.
For Krawietz, it was the last match at Tecau's side. The 36-year-old had stepped in at the beginning of the season as a replacement for regular partner Andreas Mies, who had to undergo cartilage surgery on his knee. Tecau will soon end his career and could thus celebrate a successful retirement.
Kevin Krawietz now has a week to prepare for the last highlight of the year. The player from Witzmannsberg will form the German doubles team with Tim Pütz (Frankfurt) at the Davis Cup in Innsbruck (November 27 and 28). We wish them best of luck.
