Tennis: ATP Finals - Krawietz misses out in the group stage

Turin, 11-16-2021

Brose-backed tennis pro Kevin Krawietz missed out on a place in the semi-finals at the ATP Finals in Turin. Against the Australian Open winners Ivan Dodig/ Filip Polasek (Croatia/ Slovakia), the native of Coburg also lost the second preliminary round match with his interim partner Horia Tecău 6:7 (2:7) and 5:7.

Krawietz had already failed in the group stage at the season finale with his regular partner Andreas Mies in the previous two years. The final match against Marcel Granollers/Horacio Zeballos (Spain/Argentina) on Thursday will mark the farewell of Tecau, who will end his career.

Starting next season, Kevin will once again play together with his successful partner Andreas Mies. Together, the two won the French Open doubles competition in 2019 and 2020.
