Tennis: Krawietz and Pütz in Basel quarter-finals

The German tennis doubles, Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz, fought their way into the quarter-finals of the Swiss Indoors in Basel despite a few mistakes.

The match started promisingly for the German team. They showed good form and despite some uncertainties, they put the second seeded Argentinians Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni under a lot of pressure.

In the second set, they had four match points, but missed all of them. In the match tiebreak, however, they managed to win and advance.

Finally, after a good hour and a half of play, the German doubles secured their place in the quarter-finals with a 6:2, 5:7, 10:5 victory. There they will meet the winner of the match between Nicolas Mahut (France) and Lloyd Glasspool (Great Britain) against Max Purcell and Alex de Minaur (Australia).
