Tennis: Krawietz advances to semifinals in Halle

Brose-backed tennis player and his Romanian doubles partner Horia Tecău have won the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 tournament in Halle in commanding fashion. Against the Argentine duo Molteni/Pella, the two favorites prevailed in two sets with 6:4 and 6:2 without major difficulties. On June 18, they will face the Belgian duo Vliegen/Gillé in the semifinals.

The tournament in Halle on grass is used by many professionals as a warm-up for the upcoming grass season. The highlight of which will be the Grand Slam tournament, the Wimbledon Championships, starting on June 28 in London.

A decision on which German players will compete in the men's doubles event at the Olympic Games in Tokyo starting on July 24 is not expected until the end of June. We keep our fingers crossed for Kevin.
