Your tasks

Creating drafts and designs in 3D on CAD, considering the development specifications, internal/external manufacturing expertise (e.g. suppliers)
Developing new technical product solutions and alternatives, considering the respective system interfaces, including the comparison and evaluation of advantages and disadvantages
Performing technical calculations (e.g. strength, weight, installation space) and simulations (e.g. deformation, stress, kinematics)
Arranging complex technical calculations in cooperation with specialists (e.g. the simulation department) and joint interpretation of the results
Calculating and defining functional dimensions, tolerances, and tolerance chains and monitoring them, taking into account all relevant development results (e.g. test results, calculations)
Defining and approving the technical contents of drawings, parts lists, and other documents describing the status of construction, taking into account the results of the departments involved (e.g. testing, production planning)
Ensuring global standards (e.g., worldwide product standardization)
Preparing and structuring information and data (CAD, product data/life cycle management system, project documents)
Ensuring the continuous improvement process: Acquiring and documenting findings (e.g. benchmark, expert feedback from series production) with subsequent implementation in new technical solutions
Collaborating in the creation of the design FMEAs and maintaining the process FMEAs (initiating, participating in the creation of design quidelines and standards
