Seat Foam Design Engineer-Brose Sitech

- Design and development experience in Automotive Seats Foam Design.
- Creates/develops/realizes designs in CAD. Active in development of concepts in accordance with customer or internal requirements. Develops design concepts into qualitative cost effective designs.
- Is ready to work as independent contributor or works in a smaller team within the seats design team.
- Represents all design activities during product development, which calls for close co-operation with team engineer and test engineer. Interfaces and seeks agreement on design details, perhaps with customer/suppliers.
- Production-ready series design of seat foams. Ready to work with other complete seat component parts design eg. plastic parts, safety components, airbags, seat belt reminder, belt buckles, headrests, armrests, electronic components, seat heating, climate system, wire harnesses, sensorics, control units and pneumatic elements etc.
- Production-oriented design e.g. demolding, unwinding, etc. checks as part of complete seat study.
- Design and construction from pre-development to series production and deadline tracking.
- Controlling and ensuring of necessary development steps.
- Communication with suppliers.
- Creates 2D drawings for foam parts for production. Knowledge of complete seats design and drawings are desirable.
- Design and dimensioning of component connections, definition of reference point systems.
- Investigations with data in catia and hardware to ensure compliance with customer and legal requirements for the scope of the complete seat.
- Definition and implementation of requirements regarding to ensure the functions of individual components in the complete seat in coordination with customers and suppliers.
- Checking the requirements according to internal standards.
- Responsible for internal Data management in Brose PDM and customer PDMs like KVS, Connect or SMARAGD.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree (B. E or B. Tech.) in Mechanical engineering/Automotive engineering.
- Relevant experience of min.2 to 4 years in seat foam design with corresponding total experience not more than 5 to 7 years. Professional experience in automobile related industries with preference in automotive seat systems after university graduation in engineering degree.
- Knowledge and experience of working in Automotive Complete Seat Design and development.
- Knowledge and experience in automotive seats foams.
- Know how in seat plastics and complete seats components.
- CAD 3D designing and 2D drafting using CATIA V5.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Basic knowledge of design calculations of static and dynamical loads, deformation, pressure, mechanism travel and effort calculation etc.
- Knowledge in working on Seats Structure will be an added advantage.
- Microsoft office tools.
- Good communication and presentation skill.
