Krawietz and Pütz Secure Opening Win in Madrid

Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz played an exciting match against Romain Arneodo and Manuel Guinard at the Madrid Open yesterday.

Krawietz and Pütz fought back and dominated the tiebreak to win the first set 7-6 (4). In the second set, the Monegasque-French duo showed their strength and managed to level the set by winning the second set 6-4 with a break in the last game. The match tiebreak turned into a real thriller. The German duo had to fend off three match points before converting their second opportunity to win 13-11.
In the round of 16, Krawietz and Pütz will face Andre Goransson from Sweden and Sem Verbeek from the Netherlands. This match offers them the chance to avenge their final defeat at the BMW Open in Munich.
