2008 Logistics Supplier Prize for Brose Hallstadt
The Brose plant in Hallstadt, not far from Bamberg, has been awarded the “2008 Logistics Supplier Prize” by Daimler AG for “exemplary supplier performance and innovative partnership”.
On behalf of all the employees involved at the European Brose spare parts center located in Hallstadt, commercial director Rolf Beyer, logistics manager Albert Müller and as well as the responsible scheduler and coordinator Thomas Dittmann accepted the award from Christian Navel, responsible for supplier management, at the annual supplier meeting in Wörth.
Brose Hallstadt was selected from among more than 2,600 worldwide suppliers to the Global Service & Parts (GSP) unit of Daimler.
In her speech, Eva Schloss, Daimler Group supplier management team leader, praised the outstanding delivery reliability of the Brose plant as well as its proactive communication and excellent quality rating. The error rate per million delivered parts in the past nine months was 0 parts per million (ppm).
In addition, Eva Schloss emphasized the great flexibility by Brose, capably meeting fluctuations in demand, as well as consistently gearing all internal processes to satisfying customer requirements in the spare parts business.
General Manager at Brose, Matthias Drewniok, commented: “This honor provides an even greater incentive for us not to flag in our efforts to achieve highest customer satisfaction. It also proves it was the right decision to pool the European window regulator and door system spare parts business in Hallstadt.”
