A repeat success: Second victory in the space of a week

The Lamborghini duo of Christian Engelhart and Mirko Bortolotti faced very challenging conditions on the Nürburgring in the Eifel last weekend in the ADAC GT Masters. Yet they managed to chalk up a start-to-finish victory and advance in the championship standings – and their team even leads the manufacturers’ championship.

After just one week’s break, Christian and Mirko were able to repeat their success from the previous week in Zandvoort in the ADAC GT Masters and take the checkered flag first.

The duo is now fourth in the title race and so among the top five in the ADAC GT Masters – and in direct contention for second spot. With four races remaining, Christian and his teammate now need to exploit every opportunity to pick up points and so achieve further successes this season.

Christian commented:

“It was a strong start to a weekend where we were able to amass 25 important points. That’s given us a real boost in the championship. Thank you to my Grasser Racing Team for the perfect preparation and to Mirko for the great job he did. In the Sunday race, with the extra 30 kg Success Ballast, we then had an unfortunate opening lap: I went into a spin after a contact and then another car drove into the back of me. Nevertheless, it was a very successful weekend for us with the win. We aim to go on the attack again in Hockenheim next weekend and add to our string of victories in Zandvoort and on the Nürburgring.”
