Alen Mujakic comes third in the German Youth Championships

Alen Mujakic, who is sponsored Brose, has captured third place in the German Youth Championships in Ludwigshafen.

He defeated Kim Johannes Niethammer by the clear margin of 6:1 and 6:1 in the first round.

His second-round match was far tougher. The strong Win Steveker won the first set 1:6, but Mujakic took the second 6:1. In the deciding third set, Mujakic survived a match ball for Stevekers and was able to win the set in a tie-break (7:6).

Mujakic came up against his Bavarian rival Maximilian Homberg in the quarter-finals and turned in a strong display, winning by the comfortable margin of 6:4 and 6:2 to advance to the semi-finals.

He then faced the number 1 seed Philip Florig who hardly gave Mujakic a chance and took the match 4:6, 2:6.

The player from Coburg won the third-place playoff to secure third place in the German Youth Championships.
