Basketball Bundesliga Bamberg narrowly loses at German champions

Bamberg Baskets put up a tough fight against FC Bayern Basketball, but was narrowly beaten 82:84 by the German champions in the end. Without the injured Karsten Tadda and Kevin Wohlrath, but with Kyle Lofton instead, Bamberg came out highly motivated and led 41:35 at half-time.
Noah Locke showed early on with a quick three that Bamberg had set its sights high. Unfortunately, the visitors' hands remained cold from outside: The next ten three-point attempts by the Gavel players missed the basket. Instead, Bamberg dominated at the offensive board, snapping up 15 offensive rebounds, with KeyShawn Feazell (15 points) draining several dunks. Bamberg stretched its lead to 43:35 after the break, but Munich's long-range shooters got into their rhythm and Bayern equalised to make it 56:56 at the end of the quarter. Munich pulled 64:73 ahead midway through the final quarter and Bamberg produced another run thanks to the strong performance of Filip Stanic (15 points and 11 rebounds) and top scorer Noah Locke (19 points). However, Bamberg was only able to close the gap to 82:84 shortly before the end and Munich managed to hold on for victory.
